{"id":1,"date":"2013-01-01T09:00:29","date_gmt":"2013-01-01T09:00:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.teacherdiane.com\/?p=1"},"modified":"2013-01-01T14:15:50","modified_gmt":"2013-01-01T14:15:50","slug":"hello-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blog.teacherdiane.com\/?p=1","title":{"rendered":"Hello World!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to TeacherDiane.com! \u00a0I have been looking forward to launching this website for a while now, and I am very excited that it\u2019s finally complete!<b id=\"internal-source-marker_0.5530564233195037\"><\/b><\/p>\n<p>A few months ago a former student approached me on his last day in the United States. \u00a0He asked, \u201cTeacher, when I return home tomorrow, how can I continue practicing my English?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I told him that he can watch English television shows, listen to English music, buy a grammar book and use practice exercises that can be found online, but the most important thing is to keep speaking as much as possible.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut teacher, I have nobody to speak with in English. \u00a0Everyone I speak with is learning English and I\u2019m afraid that if I make a mistake, no one will correct me and I will continue making the same mistake over and over.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He was right. \u00a0A light bulb went off in my mind. \u00a0And that\u2019s how the idea for my website was formed.<\/p>\n<p>My goal is to make students feel confident speaking English and to make learning English as simple and as fun as possible. \u00a0This website provides students with a convenient way to learn English, on their own time, from the comfort of their own home.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, it gives me the opportunity to work from anywhere in the world and do two things I love at the same time &#8212; travel and teach!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to TeacherDiane.com! \u00a0I have been looking forward to launching this website for a while now, and I am very excited that it\u2019s finally complete!
